Some thoughts and discussions from me.
Hey hey! Today I’ve got a super fun workout to share with you guys: my At Home Kettlebell and Jump Rope HIIT Workout —
But first, I’d love to share a couple snippets of my weekend with you. This past weekend, we finally made it out camping! The weather had thwarted our plans earlier this month, but we made up for it this weekend.
We headed up west of Fort Collins and just unplugged for more than 24 hours, and it was glorious.
I love being connected, but there’s something to be said for being forced to be in the present, without signal (I did upload a few stories to snapchat…but couldn’t check email or send messages or make calls.) We had such a good time being outdoors.
Now – this workout you don’t have to be outdoors for – or even in a gym! As long as you have a jump rope and a dumbbell or kettlebell, you can do it right at home. This workout takes about 20 minutes to complete, and in the words of my client, Kara, is a soul crusher (but she means that in the best way possible, just trust me ;)) I’d definitely consider it a conditioning workout, but it’s also super fun!
As always, check with your doctor before beginning any new diet or exercise program
Instructions:
After warming up, complete 50 jump ropes as fast as possible, rest as needed, then, complete 20 swings. Then, you’ll go back to the 50 jump ropes, before moving on to the cleans, and then back to the jumps, and finally, to the plyo lunges. Complete 3-5 rounds total, resting as needed to be able to safely complete the next exercise.

Let me know if you try it out!!
How was your weekend? Were you able to get outdoors (or escape the heat?)
XO!
Disconnecting can be so good! Sounds like you had a great weekend, glad the weather held out. I was able to get out on a hike post long-run yesterday and was so happy I had some time to spend in the forest. I also slept for almost 10 hours Saturday night – amazing! Haha.
Outdoor time is THE best! And sleep is a very close second 😉
This looks like such a fun workout to do when you’re tight on time! It was well over 100º in Austin this weekend, so we mostly stayed in the AC!
