Some thoughts and discussions from me.
“There’s a difference in how my clothes fit, pounds and inches were lost, and I am generally feeling so much more confident!” – Chelsea M.
“Within the first 5-6 days, I had lost 5 lbs. (water weight?) and felt less bloated right off the bat. This week, I feel like I have more muscle definition throughout my legs, arms & abs.” – Katie H.
“I love the workouts and I love the way I feel, I feel stronger and faster in the gym. I (don’t even) miss the cardio!” – Katie A.
The clients in my online boot camp program do progress check-ins every two weeks, and these are from some of the two-week check-ins While I never program quick fixes or crash diets, I do write effective programs geared to get results, and women in this program truly begin seeing results after just two weeks.
However, even with the absolute best nutrition guidelines and most effective training plans, none of it works at all if there isn’t two things:
What I mean is, nothing works if you don’t do it, and do it consistently. That’s why the nutrition coaching and workout programming is just one piece of the puzzle. Albeit, it’s obviously a very necessary piece in order to see the results, but what brings it all together is something else.
The magic is in the accountability, guidance, & support.
One reason I run and coach my online boot camps at multiple points throughout the year is because there’s something truly inspiring, motivating, and action-producing in a community that’s working toward a common goal.
Most of the women who sign up for my programs do so primarily for the nutrition coaching and guidance, training plans, and trainer-coach accountability – it’s truly the “meat” of the program.
But the special sauce? It’s in the group accountability, support, and encouragement. I’d even say that it’s equally important for those who need that external accountability.
One of my main priorities every time I start coaching a new group boot camp is to have a highly active community and a very high communication and participation rate.
This not only increases the success rate for seeing results from the program that much higher, but it truly makes the program SO much more fun and engaging – both for my clients and myself as a coach.
The same goes for my fitness business coaching clients. We have a one-on-one working relationship to further their personal business and business goals, but it’s in our mastermind group where there’s group encouragement, connections, and support.
When you’re a part of an active, supportive community, you’ve got your tribe. Your teammates. Your group to help encourage you when you need a little lift, and support you when you have something to celebrate. I’ve written about the power of community to reach your goals before, but if you know you have your coach and your group – your team – waiting for you to check-in each day – you’re so much more likely to stick with it, practice compliance, and finish strong and with better results.
The nutrition and macronutrient coaching and the workouts are the motor to which propels you to your goals and results, but your vehicle is the accountability, guidance, & support.
Do you belong to a community or tribe for a goal you’re working toward? How has it helped you?
