Some thoughts and discussions from me.
Some thoughts and discussions from me.
Hey, friends! How was your weekend?
Mine was quite lovely. As typical, it was a good mix of work and play.
On Friday after a long day of work (and a great 4.5 mile run!) we headed to our friends, Bob & Megan’s house to make Glogg and play euchre!
Glogg is a Swedish drink made from, well, lots of liquor, wine, fruit, and sugar. You don’t understand how exciting this is for me, because before moving to Colorado, I drank glogg every Christmas at my aunt’s house. My mom’s side of the family is from Sweden, and it was so lovely tasting the tradition here in Colorado.
Saturday I had to be up bright and early to train clients, but I also ended up getting in a killer deadlifting session myself.
The rest of Saturday included work for my upcoming Sculpted Strong membership program that I’m launching in January (registration is still not open for this program – but will be soon, so stay tuned!) and lots of painting. Shane and I are finally making some progress on our home design.
We are working with a designer, and last week we started getting lots of accessories! We also ordered some chandeliers and rugs…things are starting to come along…
It’s funny – we moved in our new house in April, but as we’re starting to decorate and our furniture is starting to come in, it feels like a whole ‘nother house! I know some people think investing in a decorator is a waste of money, but I Shane and I spend so much time at home – hosting friends over and working from home, that having a good energy, feel, and look to the house is worth the investment.
On Saturday I also gave Shane his Christmas present early, which…if I’m being honest, is also a gift to myself…a PS 4! And a few games to go along with it. Saturday night we had some friends over to break it in and ate of chili with garlic bread. Twas a fun night! Sidenote: growing up, my brother was a huge gamer, therefore I, the younger sister was as well. Mortal Combat for Sega Genesis was my jam.
So I was super excited to play is on PS4…though my mad skills just aren’t the same.
Sunday was a rest day, and started with a yummy breakfast and a late start (I woke up at 7:30, which is late for me!)
sausage, spinach, and mushroom omelet, with a side of steel cut oats and PB.
After breakfast, I spent a few hours working (client check-ins – and last tweaks for my self-led nutrition e-course that launched today!) and then met up with Amanda for lunch, worked on crown molding, and then decorated our Christmas tree!
We bought the tree last Sunday, and finally got around to decorating while drinking some eggnog it last night. We just hadn’t had a free couple of hours to decorate it yet! Now it’s all pretty 🙂
And then we spent the rest of the evening playing Diablo. Yolo.
Have a lovely week, friends! Tomorrow I’ll be back to talk about three guidelines to design a workout program.
Tell me something good from your weekend!!
Love your decor! I totally agree with you on using a decorator. When you work from home it helps to have the place not only look nice but you also want it to be sanctuary as well.
Have to tell you love your periscopes. I look forward to them.
Have a great week!
Glad you found some of your favorite traditions in Colorado!
My husband and I grew up playing Euchre, too. Now that we live in Iowa, not too many people know how to play. We get really excited when we convince a friend into learning. It makes it a little easier to be away from home, and it feels more like home at the same time.
So good to know I am not the only one who thinks 7:30 is sleeping in! My Sunday was wonderful as well with a later wake up, rest day and decorating with Christmas lights!

Hey Paige! I just wanted to let you know your posts haven’t been showing up on my bloglovin feed lately, I am having to go directly to your site. Hope you had a great day!
Just kidding. It is working just fine now. Sorry!
OK good deal!
Your home is lovely! I like the way that you have decorated the place it feels very cozy! 🙂 Me and my family have also moved to our new home one month ago and I somehow managed to prepare the house for the holidays, It isn’t ready yet, many of the rooms need more work, but I am proud that right now it is pretty cozy! Thanks for sharing!
