One of the top 3 ideas that I preach to my clients day after day is that they don’t need to wait until tomorrow or Monday to ‘start’ or to ‘get back on track.’
Friday night I had movie theatre popcorn, so we just went out for ice cream, too. That kind of set the tone for the weekend, so I’m back on it now that it’s Monday!
No. No, no, no. You can get ‘back on it’ right this very second. All you have to do is make your next choice a healthy one. Do you know that you’ll feel sick to your stomach after eating that second bowl of ice cream? Enjoy the first one, put the spoon down, and grab a glass of water. Boom – back on track.
My friends at NOW Foods share my passion for helping others make healthy decisions now by doing what they can to enable others to live healthier lives by making natural and organic products at a good value.

I have to admit it – I’m a sucker for health food stuff. I could spend a few hours in the supplement aisle at Whole Foods, or get lost in the natural beauty section at Lucky’s Market or Sprouts. What can I say? The natural food and body industry fascinates me.
I’ve actually bought NOW Foods products for quite some time before learning more about them at Blend, and then even more after Alana reached out to me about their products. For quite some time, I’ve been all about their Cookies & Creme Whey Protein and jojoba oil (used as part of my nightly face wash – see full face wash ‘recipe’ here.)
But when Alana reached out to me about this giveaway, and rattled off the list of products up for grabs, I had to pick my jaw back up off the floor!

Avocado oil? Vitamin B dissolvable packets? Those are two of my faves from the bundle above, but what I was really impressed with was their new plant protein complex:
I’m always on the lookout for tasty vegan protein powders. I’m far from being a vegan, but I do like to rotate my whey powders for vegan once every 3 months or so. My reasoning is because it’s easier to develop an intolerance to something like whey, that’s so very concentrated, when ingested once a day, erryday. It’s really just a precaution – not that I don’t tolerate whey now, or that it’s bad for you or anything.
Anyway, I’m happy to say that in a field of vegan protein powders ranging from dirt-tasting to pretty-decent-tasting, this one’s up there on that scale! I didn’t even have to use handfuls of fruit to mask the taste – it’s a good tasting protein powder!
NOW Foods Giveaway!
But enough about me and what I think; Alana was so kind to extend the same prize package above to one lucky blog reader (that’s you!) Listed out, here’s what’s up for grabs in the prize package:

· Toffee Caramel Fudge Whey Protein Isolate Packets

I made a huge crock pot full of a chicken, veggie, and bean soup a few days ago but have had visitors and appointment for most of my meals the last few days, so I haven’t had a chance to sit down and eat it. Finally fixed myself a bowl for a healthy meal just now!
I make sure to get up from my desk every hour and do a couple laps around the office so I am not sitting all day everyday!
I get up at 5am to get in a workout before I start the workday!
Right now I am drinking a huge glass of water as I feel a bit dizzy.
I work outside in the summer, so I have been making sure to bring extra water with everyday. That way I have no excuses to get dehydrated!
At this very moment, I am enjoying my morning cup of coffee while relaxing on the couch…spending quality with my husband while on summer vacation is good for my health, right? 😉
love their products!!! today i’ve built in time to relax and slow down!
I start every day with oil pulling, followed by a glass of water and a walk before it gets too hot.
Right now, I am staying in the routine of waking up early and working out just like I do during the school year. I find I have an easier time transitioning back when school starts if my morning stays the same.
My new healthy habit is: immediately upon waking, I take 10 min to meditate. Taking that time for ME sets me up for the whole day!
I am currently participating in Fitnessista’s Summer Shape-Up which is revitalizing my health and fitness routine! Love it!
I do Orange Theory!
I am drinking water with lemon!
I just had a glorious bowl of oats with plain greek yogurt and rocky road protein powder. Best way to start the morning!
to better my health, I’m reading more about self love/body acceptance/freedom and getting rid of the blogs focused on controlling food/weight/exercise 🙂
I get up every 2 hours from my desk and take a 15 minute walk, it really helps me get my steps in every day and feels better than sitting here for 8 hours!
I am starting to take probiotics again, I fell off that bandwagon but it makes such a difference.
Right now I am drinking unsweetened green tea and water at my desk!
I’m doing quick 10 minute exercises when I can throughout the day. After having my baby working out has been a challenge!
Right now I’m working at my standing desk in the office! I find that I’m much more focused during the day, and feel a lot less sluggish by 5pm if I’m standing for most of the day instead of sitting.
Right now I am resting! My whole body is tired and stressed out so I am listening to it and resting and drinking lemon oil water.
Eating a bowl of oatmeal!

Stretching in my office 🙂
I am losing weight right NOW to rid my body of excess fat and relieve my joints and organs, and I am taking multiple supplements right NOW to build my health and abilities. I am also eating about 90% organic and 95% unprocessed right NOW to keep toxins and energy killers out of my body.
I get up everyday at 5 am to start my day with a little cardio. It helps to wake me up, and get the blood flowing.
Just finished a yoga workout.
Checking my Vivofit fitness tracker to make sure that I have not been inactive for too long. Love that thing!
Utilizing my standing desk at the office (love this thing so much!) and eating a healthy lunch (sweet potatoes, broccoli, and grilled buffalo) 🙂
I got up and worked out this morning before relaxing all day at the pool….love vacation life!
I’ve really been trying to get my sleep issues under control lately to better my health. I have struggled with insomnia forever and often just give up and suffer, but lately I’ve been trying accupressure and body and eye stretching before bed and so far, it’s really helped!

Right NOW I am applying to the Tufts: Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy’s Online Certificate Program to become a better health care professional to better the lives of my clients!! I currently work as a health & fitness coach, but my dream is to work as clinical dietitian. I hope that this is the first step in the right direction –> and it makes me even more grateful and excited about always being on top of my own nutrition in order to constantly motivate my clients, friends, and family!!
What i’m doing right now? I’m creating a bedtime routine in which I read and then journal and always get 8 hours of sleep!

I’m trying to stay more active on a daily basis by moving more with nightly walks, hikes on the weekend and just taking more breaks during the day to move around. It sure makes a difference!

Right now I am taking a rest day. Saturday’s has been the day for my body and muscles to rest. No workouts .
Right at this moment I am eating plain baked chicken and Barnana banana bites as my recovery meal after coming back from running and strength training at the gym.
I’m walking as much as I can now that the weather’s warmer. After a rough winter in Boston, I’m taking every chance to be outdoors!
Working on having better posture while I work on my computer. It’s a few hours away , but I’m looking forward to a good night of sleep too!

Well… right this very moment I am sipping on my coffee with the sugar free trans fatty coffee mate creamer that my office stocks because I forgot my coconut creamer at home.
Not ideal for talking about health but the irony is that I CAN say I am doing something for my mental health right now by NOT WORRYING about it. (In the past I have been overly obsessed- I’d have gone without or made a trip to the store.. just spent a lot of mental energy over something so tiny).
Mental health is important!
I’m just hydrating with a preworkout drink before I head to boot camp (where I’ll get my butt kicked)!
What an amazing giveaway! So many projects I’d like to try! And what am I doing now to be healthier? Already planning on prioritizing my sleep tonight and working so that I can be ready for bed earlier tonight. I need it! 😀

Right this minute I’m looking online for good protein powders!
Really watching my diet and trying to incorporate more veggies at every meal
I have recently reduced the amount I workout, with the crazy summer schedule (3 kids on ball) I am not getting enough sleep to properly recover, so I have decreased my time/intensity until I get back on a regular sleep schedule.
Right NOW I’m working to add more protein to each meal. Eggs with breakfast, lean protein with lunch and dinner. And also trying to increase my meal sizes so that I’m properly fueled!
