Some thoughts and discussions from me.
I absolutely love that leggings are becoming more and more mainstream when it comes to casual wear. As a personal trainer, gym clothes are my standard uniform Monday-Friday. As I sit here typing this, I’m in track pants and a workout tank. And when I go to run errands after, I’ll still have this outfit on.
One thing that makes workout wear more acceptable to be masked as casual wear is that brands are really stepping there game up when it comes to gym fashion.
I recently had the opportunity to review a few pieces for Puma – all of which are totally my style. Let’s start with the star of the show – the Pulse XT Shoe.
I’m being 100% honest when I say that these have become my new go-to shoe. They’re fabulous when it comes to high intensity gym workouts because they’re lightweight, responsive, and supportive. But – they’re equally as fabulous to wear after your workout because they’re effing fly as the sky.
Lightweight and fly. Look they’re flying! Look, I’m attempting a pun!
My favorite things about the shoes is a) they’re comfortable. Seriously. I have issues with my feet hurting when it comes to shoes, and the knit outside of the shoes is so dang comfy. Secondly, they’re super sleek and sexy, and make my size 10 feet look small!

Now, let’s move on to the clothes. Oh man.
If you follow me on Instagram (or know me in person,) you’ve probably gathered that I’m not shy to wearing some crazy-patterned tights. So when I tried these Clash Long Tights on, my heart went a-flutter.
Actually – at very first, I had to do a double take. The pink cut out almost looks like bare legs. But I decided I really like that. It makes it that much more different than all of the other crazy-patterned tights out there.
The shirt also has a feature that I’m in love with right now: crop.
I really like this Watch Me Leave crop tee specifically because it’s not super short, but it’s cut short enough to be able to tell that it’s supposed to be cropped. It’s a perfect length! The neckline is just a bonus, as it’s off the shoulder, but also scoops in the back, to show off a cute sports bra you might be wearing.
Along with the shoes, it’s also great for those high-intensity workouts, as it’s made with dryCELL technology, which draws sweat away from the body – a big plus side for those super sweaty sweat sessions.
Since this outfit is perfect for a high intensity workout, I thought I’d share one of my favorite quick and dirty metabolic conditioning sessions with you all. All you need is a step, so you can do it virtually anywhere!
As always, please discuss any new exercise program with your doctor before beginning. This is an advanced workout.
