Some thoughts and discussions from me.
Some thoughts and discussions from me.
Hey there friends 🙂 Happy Friday!
Like that title there? Haha. It’s an accurate depiction of what I eat on a daily basis. I actually filmed an entire day of every morsel that I ate for you guys, but I wanted to have a lil’ chat with some pre-text first.

I place nothing off limits and don’t place any labels on the way I eat, but these are three things I aim for every single day:
That’s about it! Some days I’m super hungry and eat a ton, which is typically followed by a day or two where my appetite is lower. Over the years, I’ve learned what’s worked for me in terms of health, appetite, hormone health, and workout recovery. From previous experience, my own research, learning from my mistakes, working with a health coach myself, I’ve learned a lot on what works for my body – and what doesn’t.
I work best with moderate carbs in the morning, minimal in the afternoon, and higher carb at night – all with moderate protein throughout the day. I also don’t do well on a super low carb OR low fat diet.
But rather a moderate (relatively speaking) amount of both. I don’t track any macros or calories on any sort of consistent basis, but every once in a while I’ll track a couple days – especially if I’m going from fat loss to maintenance or vice versa. Right now, I’m maintaining my weight, and in general, I’d say I eat roughly 130-150 grams of protein each day, 250-275 grams of carbs, and 70-90 grams of fat each day, weighing at 155-160ish lbs and 5’10”. Of course, it could fluctuate from that depending on the day.
I also eat differently on the weekends than I do during the week. The main difference is that we eat out or order pizza a lot more on the weekends, and this typically comes with friends and drinking a few beers.
In general, I trust my appetite and body day to day, but I combine that with what I’ve learned when it comes to what and when I eat. For example, I LOVE the idea of intermittent fasting, but my body – and my hormone system – unfortunately does not.
Anyway, I’ve talked enough – so let’s get to my full day of eating! This is a very typical day for me, and I filmed it this past Monday. Mondays are typically lifting days for me, but I ended up taking a rest day. I also had a volleyball game that night.
OK. Here goes!

Do you try to “aim for” anything as far as nutrition goes on a day to day basis?
Do you end your day with something sweet?
oh i love your realness, your eats, and YOU! VLog is awesome
Love YOU girl!
LOVED this video!!
Thanks, Natalie!
Awesome post 🙂 Balance is seriously the key! I think when you stress to much about things (and not listen to your OWN body)… it just doesn’t help.

I always am interested in new meal/snack ideas, so I loved this video! Gimme more 🙂
Hi! Love this post. I Like that you have goals for your eating that you try to stick to…I’m working on the same, as the ‘things to avoid’ lists only serve to increase my desires to binge. I try to get at least 4 servings of veggies, but it’s a struggle unless I have a spinach packed smoothie in the morning! I am getting a bit tired of them and I’m wondering what tips you’ve got for increasing your veggies each day (I’m not big on the 5-6 small meals per day either…I’ve found three meals and one well-times snack makes me feel best, so snacking on veggies all day isn’t an option). If you have any suggestions or previous posts touching on that, I’d love to know! Thanks 🙂
love this video! would love to see more of them. that yogurt bowl looked AMAZING!!!!
Loving that you are vlogging! 😀
Haha, I’m trying! Not up to your caliber, but it’s sure fun! 😉
Love the Vlog! I like how real you are and the fact that you put no limitations on food. I always say if you listen to your body it will tell you what you really need.
I have days when I will eat more carbs than some. I don’t follow any particular “diet”.
Love seeing your eats for the day. Thanks for sharing!
