Some thoughts and discussions from me.
Some thoughts and discussions from me.
Whoa! How’s that for a blog post out of left field?
Don’t worry, if you only stop by here for the fitness and nutrition schtuff, we’ll be back in full force with it on Monday with one of the #1 questions you should be asking about your fitness regime.
But if you’re like me, you like to get to know the person behind the scenes from time to time. I actually got the idea for this post when I read it on Jess’s blog (if you don’t read her blog, you should! She posts some great workouts and fitness posts,) and thought it’d be fun to do one over here, too.
So! Let’s get to it.
#1. One of my absolute favorite place to be is horizontal on my couch on the week nights.
I swear, it’s the main reason I don’t go out much during the week is because I am a HUGE lover of couch time. Right now Shane and I are watching Game of Thrones, and to me, comfort is an episode or two, a bowl of whatever I’m having for dessert, and couch time.
#2. If I drive by a Dunkin Donuts, there’s a 75% chance I’m going to pull over an unsweetened blueberry iced coffee. Even in the dead of winter.
And there’s a 65% chance that will also come with a donut.
Aww, I still have my nose ring in the picture above! There’s a good #3…
#3. Last year I got my nose pierced with my bestie on a complete whim.
I loved it, but never really felt that it was 100% me. So when it fell out a few weeks while sleeping, and I couldn’t get it back in, I decided it was life telling me that my stint with a nose ring was over.
#4. Even though I’ve lived in Colorado for 2.5 years now, the mountains take my breath away every. single. day.
#5. I play in a competitive volleyball league, and while I vehemently tell myself it’s for fun, I am still fiercely competitive. You know it’s a problem when you drop an F bomb in the middle of a church league game!
#6. Speaking of curse words, there’s hardly anything I enjoy more than laughing at inappropriate jokes with a friend.
#7. Circling back to Colorado, it’s hard to explain what this state has done to me. If this makes sense, it makes me feel like I have more room in my body to be me. Does that make any sense at all?!
It also made me actually enjoy snow!
#8. Nary a weekend passes that I don’t enjoy pizza and beer.
#9. I love grocery shopping, and go probably 3-4 times a week. It’s a problem.
#10. Being around big groups of people, while fun, exhausts me. I love going to conferences and meeting new people, but it also depletes me like no other. I have to go be along and recharge afterward. Huge crowds of people though? Gives me anxiety. That’s why I hate going to huge sales, flee markets, and I’m not a huge fan of farmer’s markets for that reason, too.
OK, so I just told you a little about me. Now it’s your turn to spill it!
Tell me 3 non-fitness things about you in the comments below!
I love this post so much! I miss grocery shopping as it just isn’t the same over here in Europe. 🙂
But don’t you have access to all of those cool outdoor markets? Or is that just in the movies? haha (clearly, I’ve not yet been to Europe.)
Ok, loving this! I too can be found on the couch on the weekends with my husband watching Game Of Thrones…SO GOOD! I also HATE crowds and appreciate my solitude. A week doesn’t go by that I don’t enjoy a glass or two of wine and some gelato 🙂
I totally resisted that show for so long, because it’s not a typical “Paige show,” but omg – so good!
I know, me too!!
I look forward to Saturday nights because I get to spend the evening with my 22 month old niece, then I also get to go to the grocery store with her and stock up the fridge with all of my favorite foods. Second, I hit up Starbucks whenever I drive by in order to get an iced sugar free vanilla iced coffee no matter whether it is hot or cold outside. Finally, I not only work full-time but I am going to school full-time and I cannot wait till December when I’ll be completely done with school!
You got this, Lindsay! That hard work will def pay off 🙂
I totally agree with you on the weekday couch time! I usually prefer not to have plans during the week just so I can lay around after work 🙂
Well I love grocery shopping too! I can’t understand why people hate it so much! Hahahahaha!
I enjoy these kinds of posts more than the fitness posts to be honest! What a fun read. I was just recently considering the nose ring thing…did it hurt a lot? I want a new piercing!
Mmmm I’m craving a beer now!

Haha, thanks for the feedback 🙂
It didn’t really hurt. It hurt a lot more in my mind before I did it. I’m pretty sure I was drenched in sweat and had a friend’s hand in each of my hands. Then I was like, that’s it?
I will take grocery shopping over shoe/clothes/anything shopping any day! It’s my favorite!
And I have a tongue ring that I got as a rebellious 18 year old…it’s silly but I love it.
Also, I’ll be in Longmont a lot more starting next month, we should probably drink beer + eat pizza together!

Loved learning more about you!
Same! <3
love, love reading your blog, sitting outside watching my dogs play, planting flowers in my front garden so when I come home at the end of the day there is beauty awaiting me. Thanks for all you do!
xoxo
Oh man, I get that last one!! This year is absolutely exhausting for me…mostly because we don’t get the time to re-charge after meeting tons of new people at each event. It’s fun and we’re definitely meeting new people and making new friends everywhere we go, but it’s absolutely exhausting!

And it’s effing COOL!
Hi Lady! Just catching up on my blogs this weekend….and I loved this post! PS… so many similarities (i.e. #1, #10 (totes!), the part about Colorado being magical, and the grocery shopping piece… lol
Hope all is well!
Hey girl! Good to hear from you <3 Hope you're doing good 🙂
Yes to CO!! Love it! I love Boulder too! You are lucky you live there! I live up in the mountains though so its nice! And girl grocery shopping is the best thing ever! haha
YES – that would be so peaceful. We looked into building in Sugar Loaf – in Boulder Canyon, but it just didn’t make sense since Shane has to drive to Denver so much for work.
