Some thoughts and discussions from me.
Some thoughts and discussions from me.
Good morning!
Here’s a little factoid about me: I’m a HUGE book nerd. At any and all times, I’ll be reading:
-1 fictional novel
-1 Christian/faith-based book
-1-5 fitness books/studies/journals etc.
One of my favorite magazines is IDEA Fitness Journal that I have a monthly subscription to. Inside, it’s laced with all of the latest studies, research, tips, and personal stories from personal trainers. Basically, I eat that ish up.
In one of the more recent issues – in the ProSource section – was a study that measured the effectiveness of 16 abdominal exercises. It took the activation of upper rectus, lower rectus abdominis, and external obliques into account when performing the 16 different exercises. For how all 16 exercises measured up, you can read the study yourself here, but today I want to focus on three of them that you can do if you have access to a stability ball.
3 of the most effective abdominal exercises for the abs and obliques
-stability ball crunch
-stability ball roll out
-bicycle crunch
This morning while I was outside snapping pictures of each exercise, I decided to make a little workout out of it, and turn it into a core circuit workout with cardio bursts in between each ab exercise.
10-Minute Core & Cardio Interval Workout
And of course, I filmed a little video of the workout for ya’ll
Are you a bookworm, too? What book are you reading right now?
Love the workout, I pinned and printed it for when I am out of my walking cast!

🙂 Hope you heal quickly!
I read several books at a time too. I just cleared about 12 off my nightstand so I’d have some space. I’m reading Longbourn right now which is sort of the Downton Abbey version of Pride & Prejudice (focused on the servants’ stories).
Corrie, are you liking Longbourn? I’ve heard conflicting reports on it.

I am huge book worm! I’m always reading something, and right now it’s a John Grisham book. I’m a quarter of the way through, and starting to suspect I read this years ago! It’s a side effect of reading so much 🙂
I like most John Grisham books! And I’ve done that with several James Patterson’s haha
Thanks so much for sharing this workout! I always forget about my stability ball. I am currently reading Pursuit of God by AW Tozer as well as Charlie St. Cloud. What are some of the novels you like? I’m always looking for a good read.
Ooh, I’ll have to look into this one.
I like crime and police-type novels, lawyer-y types for the most part, but also others. Some of my favorite authors are Nelson Demille, James PAtterson, and Lee Child.
FUN!! This might be my “optional cardio” workout!

Thanks, I’m always looking for a short workout to do as right now that seems to be what I can manage. I’m reading an older true crime book at the moment “I know my name is Steven” and then I have the new Harry Dresden book to move on to after that.
Reading a true crime book right now “I know my first name is Steven” and then when that’s finished I’ll move on to the new Harry Dresden book. Thanks for the short workout, am always in need of some variation and need short ones to make sure that I don’t slough off.
Sorry about the double posting.
Orthomol blackmores vitamins this rather good phrase is necessary just by the way
It’s very straightforward to find out any topic on web as
compared to textbooks, as I found this post at this site.
