Some thoughts and discussions from me.
Whoa, where did the time go yesterday?! Aside from a morning client, and a couple of hours of KIND work during the day, I was working away at my computer the entire rest of the day. I swear, all of the sudden, I was working away at my computer, and I looked up and it was 7:00 p.m.
Sipping my tea, too. A cold front is making itself known here in Colorado, and I’m not a fan.
I spent the day working on a freelance blog post, emailing clients, and creating spinning profiles for my upcoming classes week. Creating those playlists and workouts takes a lot of work! It was nice and quiet in the house, too. This week, I’ve been playing single lady, while Shane’s away in NYC on a business trip (he gets home today – yay! )
While Shane’s away, my schedule and activities around the house are slightly different. Not only have I watched the entire first season of Parenthood (and made a pretty good dent in season 2,) but I’ve been either eating things that Shane doesn’t like, or just eating bowls of cereal for every meal. Joking Kind of.
Let’s get to it! – What I Ate Wednesday
Breakfast – 5:30am
Yep, I have to eat this early on Mondays (ugh) because I teach an early morning intervals class. It’s a good thing I typically wake up hungry! I went with 2 eggs, some leftover bacon and mushrooms, sauerkraut, and avocado. Standard.
I ended up doing some of the workout with my class because it was mostly body weight at kettlebell exercises. Then I headed over to my over gym to lift. Lots of front squats, chin ups, RDL’s, and DB bench press. Then I finished it off with a 5 minute metabolic finisher. Fun stuff

At this point I had a meeting at the indoor cycling studio I’m teaching at. The studio is incredibly high tech, and has all new bikes and computers and projectors – and I feel really lucky to be able to use it! As soon as the meeting was over, I ran home to grab some lunch.
Lunch – 1:15pm
I experimented the other day with making a chicken alfredo dish using canned coconut milk as the base. It came out really, really delicious, and I topped it over a bowl of spaghetti squash.
I didn’t have to be back in the gym to train until 5:00, but I did have a couple clients starting with new programs, so I spent the next couple hours writing workouts, and then vacuumed and mopped the floors.
Snack – 4:45pm
Since I wouldn’t be back home for a few hours, I had a snack of Fage total, mueslifusion, almond butter, and some hemp hearts.
Dinner – 9:00pm
That snack held me over way longer than anticipated! I got home by 8:00 from training clients, but didn’t get hungry again until 9:00. Since it was just me cooking for me, I looked in the freezer and saw we had an Udi’s frozen pizza inside! I actually really like the taste of these for a frozen pizza (gluten free or not,) and topped it with some greens and leftover brussels sprouts before popping it in the oven.
Then I ate the whole thing. Well, I ate three pieces, thinking that was enough, and then, like always, I go back for the fourth and final. It was delish.
Dessert
I surely didn’t need it, but I had some Bhakti Chai ice cream from the carton, and it was deeeeelicious. I highly recommend if you have it available to you.
If you live with someone else, do you eat differently when you’re living without your roommates/family/significant other?
WAIT
how have I NEVER SEEN THAT UDIS GF PIZZA?!

That pizza looks good! Loving the addition of brussels. When J is on travel…I eat a lot less planned meals. More throw together what I feel like eating!
I do eat differently when I’m alone and I try to eat all the things he hates!

My meals are definitely very different when my boyfriend is away. There’s a whole lot more quinoa and sweet potatoes – two of his least favorite things. Plus, I get any ice cream for desert all to myself!

As much as I miss Cody when he is away, it’s kind of nice to eat whatever I want, do whatever I want, and watch whatever I want! I typically make my meals SUPER simple (but delicious) and always buy a way too expensive carton of ice cream to enjoy and watch a favorite chick flick when he’s out of town. 🙂

We tried watching it a year ago, and Shane couldn’t get into it, and I thought it was “meh.” This time around I. am. HOOKED.
I definitely need to try the Udi’s frozen pizzas!

I don’t usually wake up craving savory breakfasts… But after seeing your breakfast, I may have to give them another shot. Frozen pizza is our easy go-to when we’re out late or don’t wanna cook. Or Chipotle 😉

I love parenthood! I had a similar dinner last night with chicken alfredo spagetti squash except I used a cashew sauce. I need to find this Bhakti Chair stuff like NOW! Haven’t had any luck so far though.
We LOVE Parenthood!! The Bravermans are too cool! And I would love cereal for every meal too! Kidding. Sort of 😉
