Some thoughts and discussions from me.
Some thoughts and discussions from me.
Welcome to another end of the week! I hope this week has treated you well
This week has been a good mix of busy and relaxed. This week I couldn’t believe we’re almost to the end of July (what?!)
This week I…
…went to happy hour at the Tasty Weasel (Oskar Blues Brewery) to try out their Cherry Pilsner:
and it was delicious! I even liked it better than the regular Pils.
…did this uni-lateral lower body workout!
I’ve been loving training uni laterally lately! I have a little muscle imbalance in my quads, and splitting up the working legs really helps
…ate chicken nuggets for lunch like a kid – they love them!
Guess what – big kids love ‘em, too
…received a Kona Kase for review:
I already know I love chia bars, I’m super excited about the Caveman cookies, and that Enjoy Life seed and fruit packet will be great fuel for a hike.
…bought 6 lbs. of ground beef:
When organic, grass-fed beef is on sale for $4.99/lb., I stock up, yo. (and this week we’ve also had burgers twice already.)
…put my Jamberry nails back on!
I ordered these from Lauren, and I’m pretty sure I’m going to take advantage of the buy 3, get one free dealio.
…took Niko to the groomer:
My eyes bugged out a little when I picked her up to find out that her haircut cost more than mine, but they did do a really good job
…picked up The Female Body Breakthrough:
A reader recommended it when I posted my list of strength training workout resources, and after doing a little digging and discovering out she’s married to one of my favorite trainers, I bought it from Amazon. Expect a review soon!
I think I’ll finish out the week with training a couple clients and some pool time. And that’s what I’ve been up to this week!
What have you been up to this week?
Can’t wait to hear what you think of The Female Body Breakthrough.

I know, time is flying! It is our local fair so this week has been crazy, parade, pancake breakfasts, lunches and work events have made another week fly by here 🙂 And tonight is finally fair night!

OB brews one of my favorite beers – Dale’s Pale Ale. It’s heavy but delicious! Looking forward to the book review. Happy Friday!

Your Jamberry nails look JAMMIN’. 🙂 I need to get those ones!
I might try to twist your arm (and Shane’s) to go to the Tasty Weasel this weekend- Greg and I MUST go try that beer!! And that book looks interesting- I might have to borrow it from you when you’re done (or go get my own). 🙂
See you BRIGHT AND EARLY tomorrow!!

You can surely borrow it 🙂 I don’t think that beer is there any more though 🙁
cute nails! are jamberry nails sold in stores?
I don’t think so – I believe just online.
I was at the Oskar Blues in Lyons recently. Great beer!
I love training unilaterally. It’s great for injury prevention. I noticed a huge difference in my IT band problems (as in, they went away!) when I started incorporating more unilateral exercises.
What a cute puppy! I have a bischon-poodle and a yorkie. They both require grooming, and you’re right, it can be a little pricey! I always have the groomer cut them super-short so that we only have to go once every few months.

Love to hear what you think of the book! I’ve read some of Rachel Cosgrove’s articles before, and she seems great.
