Some thoughts and discussions from me.
Hello and happy March!
I said “see ya later” to February the best way I can imagine – by not cooking. When I got home from training last night, I just really did not feel like cooking the pork chops and green beans that I’d planned on making for dinner. Instead, I suggested to Shane that we walk down the street to one of our fave places for dinner.
He agreed, and we both feasted:
I love that they bring out fresh made kettle chips instead of bread!
I went with the lamb burger – with olive tapenade sandwiched between a toasted, buttery, delicious gluten free toast-bun:
Fabulous way to end February.
It was actually kind of a tumultuous month for me. I doubted myself a LOT, but my faith came around, and the month ended great.
Fabulous February notes
Going to the Red Rock Amphitheater for a picnic, followed by a Coors Brewery Tour
Taking your home workout up a notch with sheet inverted rows
Getting to know my neighbors and meeting new blends!
and promptly got a CorePower yoga membership, with which I am now obsessed.
I started teaching group fitness classes at a gym in Boulder
Temps reached 64 degrees in February, and I walked the Greenway in shorts!
I started a neighborhood boot camp in the park
Not too shabby for a month with only 28 days
Here’s to March being even better! I’ve got a feeling about it – tomorrow is Shane and my 10 year dating anniversary. And let’s just pause for a second for dramatic effect………TEN YEARS?! When the heck did we get so old?! Speaking of getting old, March is also my birthday month, and my parents are coming to visit me in less than 2 weeks! YAY MARCH
Have a lovely day, folks.
What’s one good thing that happened to you in February?
What a great February! I’m definitely looking forward to seeing what March has in store. 🙂

I bet you are! 😉
Okay, your February is probably the best February I’ve ever seen! Wow! You got to do so many amazing things- you lucky girl! And it’s only going to KEEP getting better from here on out. As you probably know, Colorado in the spring and summer is just incredible. I LOVE going to the farmers’ market in Boulder on Saturdays and watching the hippies play in the river… it just doesn’t get better than that (unless it’s right after hiking at the Flat Irons… hmm… I think that’s going to be my every Saturday ritual!).
HOORAY for March (and hooray for your lamb burger. OMG.)
Have a great Friday, my friend!! xoxo

I would say February turned out to be a great month for you minus the few bumps in the road! Happy dating anniversary! Hope you have a great day planned!
That burger looks absolutely amazing!
This month I got to spend time with my grandpa, ate a BUNCH of delicious food and really got serious about my writing. As much as I hate February, that ain’t too shabby.

I LOVE house made potato chips. Those baskets never stand a chance.

Kettle chips, oh my goodness. I would have ate that entire bowl in five minutes.
A good think that happened to me in February is that I ran the longest distance I’ve ever run (7 miles) and straight-through! That was a very exciting moment for me 🙂

I received the best news February. Yesterday I was approved for Bariatric Surgery (Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy). I don’t know how you feel about this. As a SMO woman in her 40s, who has been working with physicians, a dietician, therapists, a naturopath, and personal trainer for over a year, this is the best decision for me.
I love following your blog because it keeps me inspired to meet my nutrition and fitness goals. You show us all that good health is attained by working for it. Unfortunately, I need surgical intervention. It’ll be a great tool for weight loss, but it’s only a tool. I still have to do the work. And I’m pretty certainly I’ve prepared myself adequately. Fingers crossed and prayers requested. 🙂
Have a great weekend!!!
Sounds like such a great month! I finally donated blood this month. I’ve never done that before so I’m feelin’ all proud of myself and stuff 🙂 Have a really wonderful weekend!

Happy Anniversary! Um, can we not talk about getting older…I don’t even want to think about it.
I’m glad you found some happy times this month. I know it’s been hard. That was January for me. February was, thankfully, just a normal month. No highs and no lows. I’ll take that.
I hope you have a great weekend!
