Some thoughts and discussions from me.
Helloo, my loves! I hope your week is going swimmingly 🙂
It’s been pretty great over here – a productive week on training online and in person, teaching, and writing. Plus, the sun’s back out in full force, so there’s that.
Today I wanted to talk about one of my favorite store’s in the world! – Trader Joe’s:
Boulder only recently got a Trader Joe’s – a little over a year ago (actually, it was on Valentine’s Day in 2014.)
It’s probably my main grocery store, but I also frequent Whole Foods, Lucky’s, Sprouts, King Soopers, and Target here and there for other essentials that TJ’s doesn’t have – or is out of. One thing about Trader Joe’s is the products can change pretty frequently, and they often run out of fan favorites. So, it’s usually my first stop, and then I pick up what else I need at a different store.
The other day I was out of a good amount of my Trader Joe’s staples and favorites, so I thought I’d film my haul, and put together a little “My Favorite Trader Joe’s Products” slash “Trader Joe’s Haul” video and post. It features nearly all of my TJ’s regular and favorite products. I think I only left out those PB filled pretzels, trail mix, and their spinach and feta artichoke dip 🙂
So without further ado, my haul!
So, during the video I list my top 5 favorite products, but I accidentally name like 6. Oops. I also mentioned one of my former top 5 favorites that’s no longer on the list because they discontinued them – ginger cats. Cue the sad panda. For those of you who are at work and can’t watch video, or just hate watching video, I thought I’d list my top 5 below:
1. Chile Lime Chicken Burgers.
I’ve mentioned these plenty of time on my blog and social media channels. These. are. bomb. (Don’t mind my face – yay for video stills haha)
2. Reduced Guilt Guacamole.
This actually might be the only time the word “guilt” should be included in the same sentence as food, and it’s just because that’s what Trader Joe decided to name it and it’s damn delicious.
3. Caramelized Onion Cheddar Cheese.
Ermagerd best Trader Joe’s cheese ever. My mouth is salivating just thinking about it.
4. Frozen Jasmine Rice.
So fluffy. So yummy. So microwaveably ready in 3 minutes.
5. Shaved Brussels Sprouts.
Pan + oil + s&p + these = sweet sweet love.
Argh it pains me not to be able to list more items in the top 5 because there’s 3 that are like, reallyreallyclose! Ah well. Watch the video to see ’em!
Your turn!
Tell me your favorite Trader Joe’s Products below!

Those chicken burgers ARE so good!
I go a few times when we run low on easy eats.
My husbands favorites are the blueberry waffles and chocolate cat cookies.
I love the bag of gluten free oats, no salt cashews, Fage greek yogurt (bc its cheaper for the larger container than the reg. grocer), quinoa, coconut palm sugar and lentil crunch twist thingies!
I don’t get to go to TJ’s often, as it’s quite far away, but when I do, I love their Bran Muffins (HUGE, lots of fiber and low-cal) and their Sesame Soy Ginger Vinaigrette (so flippin’ good).
Oh and I love those Chicken Sausages, too. Yum-o
love those burgers!! and those brussels sprouts are so versatile. i usually sautee mine with bacon & balsamic.
I can’t wait to live near a Trader Joe’s in Boulder!! I imagine that the one there gets pretty crowded? Any tips on the best days/times to go?
P.S. Love your posts about food! I would love to see recipes for some of the slow cooker meals you mentioned!
It’s not too bad. I never go on the weekends, though. I’m usually there either late morning or early afternoon during the week!
And will do on the slow cooker recipes! 🙂
I keep an ever-growing list of my TJ’s favorites here:

Good idea to keep a running list!
You go in for one thing & come out with so much more!!! 🙂

Truth!
I am a huge TJ fan. Some of my favs are the herb salad mix (gives salads a great kick), the packs of radishes for $.99, the oil free sun dried tomatoes – my fav, orange vinegarette (a recent discovery and so good. I use it alone as a salad dressing), the chipoltle salsa, honey wheat pretzels…..I clearly have too many favs!
FYI…I loved the ginger cats. They will be back in the fall as they are a seasonal item I was told. I need to stock up when they come back.
