Some thoughts and discussions from me.
Good morning
I hope you had a lovely weekend!
Mine started on Friday afternoon when I closed my laptop for the day and treated myself to a manicure.
I swear it didn’t look that Barbie-Doll-Pink on the nail sample thingy. It’s shellac, of course, because I refuse to spend money on a regular manicure, only for my nails to look mangled the very next day. #onceyougoshallacyounevergoback
Friday night was pretty low key. Shane and I sat out on the back patio and drank a few pumpkin beers until it got dark, and then ate some pizza and watched Top Chef. It was a lazy Saturday morning, until we headed out for a trail run at Rabbit Mountain.
It was much less exciting (in a VERY good way) and scary than last time, and we got in a great 4.5 miles with some incline in there.
When I got back home, I headed to the farmer’s market down the street with a friend.
I got a re-fill on a bottle of local Kombucha (that Lauren originally got for me <—she’s always so full of gifts!) and some lettuce and tomatoes.
The rest of the day passed by super quickly somehow. All I did was read and nap, and then all of the sudden it was nighttime and time to go out again! We met up with our friends at was is quickly becoming our regular spot for some cocktails and barbeque. This is the only picture of the night that I took!
As usual, after we called it quits there, we headed down to one of our houses and had a 2-hour dance party before the guys met back up with us. Nothin’ like dancing with two of your best friends and our dogs!
Luckily my friend, Susie was able to snap this gem. Niko is a mean twerker. Also, players gonna play (play play play play.) That’s all I’m sayin’.
Yesterday was pretty mellow. Woke up, made some bacon and crepes, read some devotions and bible verses, and then took Niko on a walk. Then I headed to the gym to film some exercises that I needed to upload for Phase 2 of YTP Boot Camp.
I typically try and reserve Sundays for a rest and recover day, but unfortunately it ended up being somewhat of a work day! When I got back from the gym, I decided I’d go ahead and build my workout and playlist for my Tuesday morning spin class.
Then I decided I’d go ahead and share the workout with you all! If you don’t attend indoor cycling classes, but have access to a spin or stationary bike, you can take this 45 minute spin class workout with you and do it at the gym! Since my indoor cycling class is only 30 minutes, I tacked on an extra 15 minutes of sweat sesh for ya. You’re welcome
As always, please check with your physician before beginning any new diet or exercise program!
And for my fellow Spotify users, here’s the playlist (+some) in Spotify:
Have a great day!
What was something fun you did this weekend?
When was the last time you had a dance party?
What day is your usual rest day(s) for the week?
Love this playlist. Thank you! Following it on Spotify!!!
